The U.S. military has had significant influence over the way the world economy operates. Goods are manufactured and shipped around the world through shipping containers. This shipping process, known as containerization, has radically transformed how goods are transported all around the planet, and the U.S. military is reason for the development of this process. Along with containerization are the inequalities perpetuated by it and the labor hierarchies used in order to promote cost savings.
